Partnership with VetBloom Provides Access to Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning Program

The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine has partnered with Ethos Veterinary Health and VetBloom, a progressive veterinary mastering environment, to create a pathway that allows individuals to earn an internet veterinary nursing diploma through Purdue University. The new partnership will permit VetBloom contributors to sign up for Purdue Veterinary Medicine’s Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning software, whose graduates earn an associate in applied technology diploma and acquire the coaching necessary to seek state credentialing as a Registered/Licensed/Credentialed Veterinary Technician.

“This partnership will allow VetBloom member practices to grow their skills and supply their crew contributors a pathway that now not only improves their profession opportunities but facilitates fill an important want for nicely-educated veterinary nurses,” stated Dr. Patrick Welch, Ethos chief expertise officer and founding father of VetBloom. Dr. Welch defined that VetBloom and Ethos are devoted to offering training and academic opportunities to the veterinary community. The partnership with Purdue Online is an extension of this commitment.

“One of our goals is to facilitate and accelerate the gaining knowledge of, growth, and engagement of people and groups for the duration of the veterinary industry,” stated Dr. Welch. “This partnership with Purdue affords us with some other opportunity to acquire that intention and assist in facilitating a subculture of non-stop gaining knowledge of and boom within our member practices.”

Dr. Bianca Zenor, director of the Purdue Veterinary Nursing program, stated that Ethos and VetBloom would benefit all college students because it facilitates elevating cognizance of Purdue’s Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning software. “This partnership provides access for those who’ve worked in the veterinary discipline so that you can develop in their careers with a nationally diagnosed, AVMA-accepted application,” Dr. Zenor said.

The VetBloom and College of Veterinary Medicine partnership became facilitated via Purdue Online, which supports schools and corporate partners to create new personnel development opportunities that amplify pathways for worker careers. For more data, visit Purdue Online.

The Purdue Veterinary Nursing software has been AVMA accredited since the mid-Seventies. It is one among four AVMA-accredited veterinary nursing programs in the u. S . Affiliated with a veterinary school or college. Purdue’s veterinary nursing students have a high first-time bypass fee on the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE). The Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning (VNDL) program allows college students to paint at their tempo online to gain the knowledge, information, and competencies vital to practice as a veterinary nurse. TESU was selected to receive this Signature Grant for its distance-learning curriculum built on community-engaged service learning and best practices. A first of its kind, the program promotes experiential learning as TESU’s non-traditional and distance-learning adult students support New Jersey non-profit organizations in the form of 12-week Capstone Projects.

“It is essential to assist educational initiatives that empower adults to attain their career goals and build a strong and competitive local workforce,” said The Provident Bank Foundation, Jane Kurek, Executive Director. “TESU has structured a program to prepare students to lead and create positive change in community-based organizations and develop effective public service partnerships with non-profits.” Beginning this fall, 100 participating TESU students will engage and work with 15 New Jersey non-profit organizations, including The Arc/Morris Chapter, Hope Loves Company, LeaderKid Academy, The Midland School, and VolunteerConnect.

“TESU strives to support our adult learners while meeting the critical needs of many non-profit organizations,” said Dr. Merodie A. Hancock, president of Thomas Edison State University. “We look forward to helping students apply what they have learned in meaningful, real-time ways. This Signature Grant allows our students to do this while experiencing the power of active citizenship. This grant plants the seed for community impact that keeps growing.”

The Foundation will present the check on Tuesday, August 27, at 11 a.m. at TESU. The Provident Bank Foundation is Dr. Carlos Hernandez, Chair of the Foundation Board and President Emeritus of New Jersey City University and Executive Director Jane Kurek. Accepting the grant on behalf of Thomas Edison State University are Dr. Merodie A. Hancock, President, and John Thurber, Vice President for Public Affairs, Thomas Edison State University.
