For over 75 years, UNCF (United Negro College Fund) has helped almost 1,000,000 students earn college levels. As it marks any such most crucial milestone, UNCF will keep its work at the twelfth annual UNCF Walk for Education at 7 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Blue Jacket Park, 2501 General Rees Ave, in Orlando.
Members of the network and buddies of UNCF are invited to participate in helping Orlando college students get the college education they want and need to ensure higher futures for all Americans. This year’s Walk for Education consists of university readiness resource companies for college students and mothers and fathers, employment possibilities, a youngsters’ sector, and a diaper crawl. So, strap for your strolling shoes and be a part of UNCF. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate, whether you’re an avid runner or a leisurely walker. Your participation will make a fantastic impact on the lifestyles of a pupil in search of a better education.
Florida is the home of 3 UNCF traditionally black faculties and universities (HBCUs): Edwards Waters College, Florida Memorial University, and Bethune-Cookman University.
